Some of life’s most beautiful moments are the ones we almost miss. The first sip of coffee in the morning. Watching the rain from a warm room. A conversation that goes nowhere in particular. The art of doing nothing. For Berlin-based composer and pianist Robert Gromotka, the Little Life European Tour 2027 is all about slowing down, forgetting about our to-do lists and enjoying the simple pleasure of being here, right now.
Joined by a cellist, Gromotka brings together new compositions and music from earlier years. Moving between solo piano pieces and the rich interplay of piano and cello, the music shifts from quiet, intimate moments to warm, expressive conversations between the two instruments. There is room for things to unfold, for thoughts to wander, and for the occasional silence to say just as much as the music.
Gromotka describes his compositions as “written improvisations” — music that follows its own curiosity rather than a fixed destination. His pieces Dreamland and Little Life have reached millions of listeners, finding their way into the lives of people around the world. Little Life is a concert about the little things. About slowing down, listening closely, and remembering that not every moment needs to be filled.
Sometimes, it’s enough just to be there.
